Human Nature Designs Philanthropy | How We Give Back
When I first started Human Nature Designs, I knew an important part of owning a company would be having the opportunity to give back to causes that were close to my heart. Of course that would include charities and organizations that did good for Nature (my first true love), but also to organizations that spoke to the "Human" side of Human Nature Designs.
We are now a 1% for the Planet company, meaning our business has committed to donating at least 1% of its annual sales (not just profits) to environmental causes. This commitment is part of the 1% for the Planet network, a global organization founded in 2002 by Patagonia's Yvon Chouinard and Blue Ribbon Flies’ Craig Mathews.
Since 2020, we have also supported a number of other organizations that are giving back to the community through both donations, in-kind donations, promotions, and events. Here are a few of the non-profits we actively support and believe in:
