Human Nature Designs Philanthropy | How We Give Back
When I first started Human Nature Designs, I knew an important part of owning this company would be to give back to causes that were close to my heart. Of course that includes charities and organizations that do good for Nature (my first true love), but we also support organizations that speak to the "Human" side of Human Nature Designs. Here are some of the ways Human Nature Designs is giving back:
Our business has committed to donating at least 1% of its annual sales (not just profits) to environmental causes. This commitment is part of the 1% for the Planet network, a global organization founded in 2002 by Patagonia's Yvon Chouinard and Blue Ribbon Flies’ Craig Mathews.
This global organization encourages businesses and individuals to commit 1% of their annual sales or income to environmental causes, fostering a network dedicated to supporting environmental solutions. By connecting donors with vetted environmental nonprofits, they aim to amplify the impact of environmental giving.
The Conservation Alliance - Brands for Public Lands
Human Nature Designs has joined Brands for Public Lands, a coalition of businesses standing together to protect and defend the wild places that inspire us every day.
As a Colorado-based, woman-owned brand rooted in the belief that humans need nature, this mission hits close to home. The mountains, rivers, and national parks we design around aren’t just backdrops—they’re where we go to get inspired and feel connected. None of that is possible without protected, accessible public lands.
That’s why we’re proud to join forces with over 130 companies across the outdoor industry through The Conservation Alliance’s Brands for Public Lands initiative. Together, we’re raising our voices to defend these shared spaces against mounting political, environmental, and economic threats.
The organizations below are non-profits we have supported through in-kind, event, or promotion-related donations rather than direct partnerships:
